He is the EGLS Director for Ireland and since 2020 has been appointed as a Professor for the Ultrasound Leadership Academy. Jean-Francois Lanctôt
Professor of Medicine at McGill and Sherbrooke universities in Montreal, Québec, Canada. He is the co-founder of the EGLS course, author of the EGLS manual and he is the co-creator of the iOS/Android application Shock Echo. Dr. Lanctôt participated in establishing credentialing guidelines for advanced ultrasound in emergency medicine for the Association of Emergency Physicians of Quebec.

Hein Lamprecht
Hein Lamprecht currently works as a senior emergency medicine physician at Tygerberg Academic Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa. He is an associate professor and the Clinical Ultrasound program director for both Stellenbosch and Cape Town Universities. He currently holds the chairs for the Subcommittee for Emergency Ultrasound of the College for Emergency Medicine of South Africa and the African Ultrasound Committee. He also serves as vice-chair on the executive committee of the International Federation of Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Special Interest Group since its inception in 2009 and as a professor for the Ultrasound Leadership Academy since 2014.

Catherine Nix
Consultant Anaesthetist Intensivist at the University of Limerick Hospitals Group (ULHG) since August 2014. Catherine is the current Joint Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine Ireland (JFICMI) Point of Care Ultrasound Lead as well as the current ULHG HSE Training Lead & holds an Adjunct Senior Lecturer position at UL GEMS. She co-founded the University of Toronto Undergraduate Ultrasound Program with Dr Jonathon Ailon 2012 – 2015 and since 2015 has been teaching undergraduate ultrasound at UL GEMS.

Cian McDermott
Cian works as a Consultant in Emergency Medicine in the Mater University Hospital in Dublin in Ireland.
Since 2016, Cian has been organising the ultrasound workshops for a small conference called smacc.net.au

Rachel Gilmore
consultant in Emergency Medicine in Dublin. She graduated from National University of Galway after which she completed her general medical training in Internal medicine in Dublin and obtained Membership of College of Physicians of Ireland. Dr Gilmore then travelled to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota for Emergency Medicine residency and fellowship. After completing residency Rachel then joined the Emergency Medicine faculty at Mayo as Assistant Professor and Assistant Programme director of the Emergency Medicine programme. After residency she also enrolled in the ACEP/EMF Teaching Fellowship. Rachel returned to Ireland in 2010 and has worked as a consultant in Emergency Medicine in Dublin. Her academic interests include POCUS, critical care and simulation in medical education.

Marcus Peck
Marcus Peck is a consultant in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine at Frimley Park Hospital (Surrey, UK), chair of the Focused Intensive Care Echo (FICE) committee and author of the OUP textbook ‘Focused Intensive Care Ultrasound’. He is a passionate ultrasound trainer and teaches widely. Marcus sits on several national committees, including the Intensive Care Society Council and British Society of Echocardiography (BSE)’s Level 1 Echo and Professional Standards committees, focused on improving echo training opportunities and quality assurance. Jimmy Lee
Jimmy is an Emergency Medicine Specialist Registrar from Ireland with a passion for global health and humanitarian medicine. He has been involved in POCUS training in Palestine and Liberia, and is a regular instructor for EGLS in Ireland.

Andy Neill
Andy is a joint Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care Medicine trainee based in Dublin. He produces FOAMed podcasts on anatomy for EM and for the Royal College of Emergency Medicine. He is a regular instructor on EGLS.

Keith Curtis
Dr. Curtis is an ultrasound trained Emergency Physician at the University of Vermont Medical center and is the director of the 4 year integrated ultrasound curriculum within the Robert Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont. Dr. Curtis is passionate about ultrasound education and has been teaching point of care ultrasound regionally, nationally and internationally since 2012.
